Our health records:
Vaccines

Health is always a delicate and important point to the success of a journey abroad, be it short or long. This section will be certainly read carefully ...

Vaccines

No vaccine is obligatory to come to Peru, i.e. that the authorities at the passage of the customs will not require any vaccination notebook.

However: it is strongly recommended to be up to date with regard to the most current vaccines like:

  • Tetanus
  • Diphtheria
  • Hepatitis A and B
  • Measles
  • The typhoid fever.

In the event of bite by an unspecified animal (dog, fox, bat, etc) do not boggle to go to the nearest hospital to be made vaccinated against rage. Let us not forget that the Rage is mortal in 100% of the cases once the first declared symptoms.

In the event of staying in a low tropical zone, it is obligatory to be vaccinated against the Yellow Fever, a certificate of vaccination can be required for you at the arrival at certain airports of Amazonian forest, like Puerto Maldonado or Iquitos (cf: our article on the tropical diseases).

IMPORTANT: The advices of Puka Nina Peru cannot replace the judgment of your doctor, in particular in case of high- risk people. You must therefore ask your doctor before any travel.
