Cusco-Pisaq-Ollantaytambo(2850m)

Departure towards Pisaq with your local guide, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit of the ruins and the typical market. On the afternoon, you will go along the valley, the landscapes are once again completely different. Visit of the singular site of Ollantaytambo.

Ollantaytambo-Machupicchu-Ollantaytambo(2850m)-Cusco
Very early in the morning, you take the train to Machupicchu, go up by bus to the vestiges of Machupicchu and visit the site with your guide. Machupicchu was scientifically discovered on July 24, 1911 by the American historian Hiram Bingham, of the University of Yale. What one can say, it is that the city was perfectly organized and formed part of a whole network of sites disseminated along the superb way which led there.
Return to Cusco by train in the afternoon

Cusco-Moray-Salt Pits of Maras-Chinchero-Cusco(3400m)
Ollantaytambo-Moray-Salt Pits of Maras-Chinchero-Cusco(3400m)
Departure in the morning by private bus for the vestige of Moray, a quite particular site, which was at the time of the Incas a agricultural laboratory.
The Salt Pits of Maras are salt terraces which have been exploted for thousand of years, surely before the Inca hegemony.
Inca Thupaq Yupanki is supposed to have built the palaces of Chinchero around 1480. The church contains paintings of great value.
Return to Cusco in the beginning of the afternoon

In the morning: Cusco is a small jewel in Latin America, which visit will be done by foot with your local guide. Visit of the beautiful neighbour of San Blas, the famous 12 angles stones, the ancient Temple of the Sun Qorikancha and the Central market, full of colours....
In the afternoon: Visit (single transportation) of the surrounding ruins of Cusco: Saqsaywaman, one of the mysteries of mankind for the transportation of its stones, Qenqo, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay.
